Family Medicine Physician- Lynchburg Location

The Board Certified Family Medicine Physician works as part of the clinical provider team performing a variety of direct patient services including assessment, diagnosis, evaluation, implementation of treatment plans, and monitoring of follow-up for clinic patients. Physicians may assist in supervision of PA’s or NP’s Successful candidate will have graduated from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, completed an approved residency program in his/her medical specialty, be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Virginia and have the ability to relate effectively with patients and staff. Dental Assistant- Atherholt and Madison Heights Locations

The Dental Assistant will assist the Dental Director and Dental Hygienist in the caring and treatment of patients, filing patient charts, updating patient records, and performing administrative duties including identified project coordination. Behavioral Health Therapist (LCSW/LPC) - Lynchburg Location (Federal St)

The behavioral health therapist provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, development and implementation of behavioral health treatment plan for JHC patients as referred by JHC medical providers. The behavioral health therapist provides counseling, crisis intervention, various case management services and referral services and works with JHC medical providers to ensure care management of the patient. Master’s degree in Social Work or related field, with LCSW or LPC, and at least two years of behavioral health related experience required. Position will work at the front desk, and be responsible for greeting and checking in/out patients, verifying all demographic information and insurance. Successful candidate will work closely with nursing staff and providers to assure patient process flow is optimized.  Individual will also answer phones, make appointments and handle customer relations in a positive, professional manner.  Successful candidate will have a HS diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant Certification desired, 2-5 years customer service skills preferably working in a medical office, working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), proven ability to work within a team setting, excellent customer service skills with ability to handle all types of customers. Obstetrical/Gynecological Physician

The Obstetrical/Gynecological physician works as part of the obstetrical team performing a variety of direct obstetrical patient services including assessment, diagnosis, implementation of treatment, evaluation, and monitoring of the obstetrical patient management plan, as well as, delivery and postpartum care.  The obstetrician performs these functions under the general supervision of the Director of Obstetrical services and /or the Medical Director in a primary health care setting. Medical Clerical Assistant

The Medical Clerical Assistant (MCA) is part of the Patient Care Team and assists the Medical Provider in the provision of team based medical care. The MCA provides limited direct patient care services and assists the provider in the completion of his/her non-medical duties.  Under the director supervision of the Director of Nursing, the MCA plays a critical role in the delivery of quality, patient-centered medical care within the context of a federally (HRSA) qualified community health center (FQHC). The primary role of the MCA is to manage those clerical responsibilities, currently carried out by the provider, and which impinge on the provider’s ability to spend.an appropriate length of time, engaging the patient while developing sound diagnoses and treatment plans. The MCA is also that critical member of the Care Team that will be expected to carry out “high touch” activities to reach those patients who are not responsive to traditional outreach methods.  The MCA is required to be either Certified/Registered as a Medical Assistant, 1-2 years of Medical Assisting experience preferred. Associate Director of Risk Management and Safety (RN)

The Associate Director of Risk Management and Safety (ADRMS) is responsible for promoting a safe environment for patients and staff, maintaining a systematic process for tracking and trending safety events and promoting regulatory compliance and a culture of safety through education and example. This position interfaces with internal staff as well as community partners and works with local and regional agencies as necessary to coordinate and maintain daily compliance, risk management, safety efforts as necessary. Director of Information Technology

The Director of Information Technology’s role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives. The individual directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of Johnson Health Center operations. Substantial exposure to telecommunications, application software, operating systems, database engines, communications protocols, and systems design processes is strongly desired. The Director of IT is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s information technology and systems. This position requires a strong ability to investigate and interpret regulatory mandates and/or guidelines pertaining to IT and electronic medical records. Bachelor of Science degree in the field of computer science or business administration. Master’s degree in one field preferred or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Certificate with extended work experience in IT preferred.3 years experience in current IT operations and/or management is required.
